I decided to start paying attention to things I wanted to do. For a few years now I've been dabbling in art, and I decided it's time to start. Not so I can be like other artists, not so I can get things published or be a professional, not so I can look cool in real life or on the net, but for my own pleasure.

I'm not an art student. I study languages and culture, and I love it. The last art class I took was a good four years ago, at least. But I want to be an artist. This was a source of some worry for me for quite a while, but I've come to the realisation that it doesn't matter if I'm not professionally doing art, but just doing it for my own sake. It's just as valid and as beautiful.

I believe that we all have some kind of creative power within us, and it's just as important to use that as it is to be kind, generous, and truthful.
